On Tuesday 25 October, Treasurer Jim Chalmers handed down the second Federal Budget for 2022, which was eagerly awaited given the change of government which took place earlier in the year.

The Treasurer detailed the current state of the economy, provisions for natural disasters, a plan to boost housing supply and a near $33 billion increase to social security payments.
